    Requirements:

    • Valid teaching certification in Special Education in Pennsylvania, in accordance with local and state regulations.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Special Education Teacher.
    • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and other educators.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assessing students' academic, social, and emotional needs to determine eligibility for special education services.
    • Developing and implementing IEPs that address students' unique learning goals and accommodations.
    • Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities in inclusive classroom settings.
    • Providing direct instruction and support to students in small group or one-on-one settings.
    • Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to ensure students' needs are met in all academic settings.
    • Monitoring students' progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
    • Communicating regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress and collaborate on intervention strategies.
