    Program Director Job Description

    Status: Full-Time Salaried FLSA Classification: Exempt

    The Program Director is responsible for the overall administration of the Shelby County (Memphis) Program. Key responsibilities include:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all participants receive appropriate services, including hours, contacts, and activities as required by contract.
    • Oversee intake process, interviewing referrals and developing individualized service or treatment plans.
    • Monitor service delivery, implementing goals and revisions to plans as needed.
    • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise direct service staff, ensuring qualifications meet contract requirements.
    • Provide staff development and training sessions, promoting cross-training among staff.
    • Assist staff in creative problem-solving, securing resources for participants and their families.

    Requirements:

    • Master's Degree in Health and Human Services Area (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling).
    • Minimum one year of experience in a community-based agency program.
    • Bi-lingual/Spanish speaking applicants are a plus.
