    Description

    Systems Engineer Position at Murtech Staffing & Solutions

    • Pay Rate: $50.00-$55.00 per hour W2
    • Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
    • Location: Ashburn, VA

    Description:

    • Provides technical support for daily operations and maintenance of server, storage, and networking equipment, security appliances, cabling, and site facilities
    • Manages projects to completion, including planned installs and upgrades of server hardware, software, storage, and networking products
    • Ensures compliance with company security protocols, technical requirements, and quality standards for customer satisfaction
    • Documents progress on all task orders and provides real-time customer updates
    • Performs troubleshooting/installs during maintenance windows
    • Coordinates efforts across teams and vendors for desirable outcomes
    • Administrates VMware vSphere tech lab environment and ensures compliance of virtual machines
    • Packages, deploys, and troubleshoots software patches using Microsoft SCCM
    • Completes assigned computer-based training as required
    • May be required to be on call at scheduled times
    • Develops/maintains client relationships and identifies opportunities to extend agreements

    Skills:

    • CompTIA A+ and Server+ Certifications required
    • HP & Dell Manufactures Server Certifications preferred
    • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system preferred
    • In-depth knowledge of HP & Dell Server hardware
    • Basic knowledge of HP Storage Works products and Microsoft products
    • Ability to design and implement technology solutions
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • High School Diploma required
    • 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience
    • Ability to carry and lift up to 70 pounds
    • Ability to travel to customer sites
    • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff
