- This position is responsible for managing the tanker fleet used for liquid sucrose transportation. A key aspect of this role is ensuring that clean tankers are available according to customer needs and under the time limitations for shipping as required by company policy. In addition, if the facility has a wash bay, this position is responsible for washing and sanitizing the trailers. The creation of the paperwork for inspection and washing falls under the responsibility of this role. This position works closely with the Load-out Operator to ensure the product leaves the plant on schedule. This position is also responsible for the safe and clean operation of activities within their area of responsibility.
- Follow proper Work Instruction procedures for washing trailers, lab testing for conformance to specification and all aspects of product integrity.
- Create tanker inspection and wash documentation. Track time since was according to company policy.
- Manage and maintain processes for biosecurity and sealing of trailers.
- Position and move tankers using a Yard Jockey or similar equipment safely at all times.
- Ensure the proper security of the receiving and unloading areas for biosecurity purposes.
- Clean and maintain equipment for the movement of the positioning of tankers.
- Inspect all inbound tankers before loading and verify proper load integrity for prior material.
- Document all security seals and other food safety controls according to work instructions.
- Oversee and coordinate between multiple individuals working in the area of operation.
- Operate and maintain a forklift or other equipment for positioning or managing material as needed.
- Coordinate with the Load-Out Operator and Inventory Manager to ensure clean tankers are available for load-out at all times.
- Perform sanitation on equipment as required.
- Sample product as required by Quality instructions and perform qualified testing as required.
- Follow GMP and other quality processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment
- Previous food industry experience is preferred.
- Previous experience operating yard jockey preferred but not required.
- This position does not require a CDL.
- Must be adaptable and flexible

- Basic understanding of laboratory testing equipment
- Basic understanding of documentation needed for the process
- Ability to speak and write English at a basic level
- Forklifts and other manufacturing equipment for the receiving, movement, and management of materials and granular sugar in totes or bags if needed
- Office machinery, including calculators, computers, printers, copiers, etc.
- Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and climbing.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate manufacturing equipment, keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other equipment.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and laboratory results.
- Requires lifting to 75+ pounds. Requires exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents.
- The work environment can be hot, humid, dusty or cold depending on the time of year. Depending on the role's needs, employees may be required to work in or outside of the building.
- Due to the nature of liquid sugar, bees may be present in the area at certain times of the year.
- Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations.
- Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with various people and conditions.
- Emotional stability and personal maturity are essential attributes in this position.
- Must understand people and be able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to do basic math calculations as required.
