- Implementing operating system and network device security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides.
- Administering boundary devices (e.g., managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems).
- Performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks.
- Correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within a network environment.
- Install, update, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot system/server configurations.
- Utilization of virtualization technologies along with virtual machine development and maintenance.
- Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems Management from an ABET-accredited institution or IA/CS technology field, in lieu of degree, 7 years experience as an IT technician on DoD classified networks is acceptable.

- 7 years of experience performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks.
- 7 years of experience correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within a network environment.
- 7 years of experience managing DoD Host-Based-Security Systems (HBSS).
- 7 years of experience managing DISN-connected campus-scale multi-server installation employing virtualization.
- 7 years of experience with the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP).
- Possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Technical Level II in accordance with DOD M. (i.e. GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP & Vendor certification, and IT Training Provider certificate for network environment main operating system).
