    As an MRI Technologist, you will perform diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations according to established imaging protocols. Provides efficient and effective patient care in high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations. Provides high customer service, performing consistently with Hospital and organization values.

    Primary Duties:

    • Conducts patient interviews to identify contraindicated implants, foreign bodies, and other medical conditions of concern. Identifies and performs appropriate examinations based on patient history.
    • Verifies prescription and protocol. Uses appropriate imaging parameters. Injects contrast based on patient weight after verifying the patient's renal function status. Verifies image quality prior to ending the examination. Appropriately documents examination. Verifies the examinations are correct in both Cerner, PACS, Pen Rad, and Dyna CAD (when applicable).
    • Assists in organizing and maintaining inventory of supplies. Ensures the work area is maintained at a high state of cleanliness. Promptly prepares films and CDs upon request.
    • Assists with protocol development and implementation. Assists with the training of new personnel and Radiology School students regarding procedures, imaging protocols, and department policy.
    • Collects quality control data for the manager, such as film usage, equipment problems, etc. 9. Completes all required information system functions to ensure proper patient information, billing, examination, and other necessary functions.
    Qualifications:
    • Associate degree or formal training in an American Medical Association-accredited school of Radiologic Technology/Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
    • Job-related experience and/or successful completion of a formal MRI educational training program.
    • Successful Completion of either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MRI examination or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) examination within one year of date of hire for unregistered technologists.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support).
    • Equipment Exp REQ:GE, Siemens Special Imaging
    • Procedures REQ: Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Image post-processing (Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction), Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), Perfusion
    • CHARTING REQ: Cerner Previous Charge Experience Preferred 1 year of Exp Req Scrubs Provided 17 patients per day/ 7 patients per shift Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
