**Description**

We are seeking a Quality Control Warehouse Supervisor for our Eden Prairie Production Facility. This position will work 1st shift (8am-4:30pm but can flex). Compensation is $65,000 yearly salary.

Role Summary:
Supervises and coordinates the activities of Quality Control Auditors at the offsite warehouse and production facility warehouse to ensure food safety and quality. Manages supplier quality. Ensures the food safety and quality elements of the Supplier Approval program are met.
Essentials Competencies of the role:
**Food Safety:**
Ensure company specifications for food safety and quality are met.
Collaborate with Sourcing, Food Safety and R&D during new Supplier Approval process.
Manages Supplier performance.
Communicates issues to suppliers and manages Corrective Actions Requests related to product quality.
Manages the receipt and shipment of sample parts to/from suppliers, including samples of new/revised product and non-conforming product.
Supports Supplier contingency planning, disqualification, and exit strategies.
Collaboratively develops and manages Supplier Scorecard.
Conducts new product input/creation in redzone (and some updates when products change).
Monitor GMPs at the warehouses to ensure the safety and quality of our products. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented when infractions occur.
Monitor and maintain all Food Safety Regulation in the warehouse and receiving areas.
When performing suppliers audits ensuring that all food safety regulation at those facilities are met.
Runs sensory program
Supports lead supplier auditor during supplier audits as needed.
Supports another EAS plant as needed.
**Quality:**
Responsible for the direct supervision of Quality Control Auditors at the offsite warehouse and at the production facility warehouse. This includes supervision of daily work, training and personnel functions.
Analyzes incoming material defects.
Ensure defected raw materials and finished goods are on hold and maintained secure.
Collaborate with Food Safety, Quality and other operations personnel on disposition / rework of products and raw materials on hold.
Manages product destruction per USDA.
Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule.
Exercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action.
Execute other tasks/responsibilities as assigned.
Work cooperatively with other members of the Food Safety & Quality Department.
**Regulatory Issues:**
Execute assigned food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities to support SQF Code requirements, as updated, regulatory requirements and customers requirements.
Maintain an accurate position description and standards of performance. Including hiring, promotions and termination of all staff members.
Professionally represent E.A. Sween to our suppliers, industry and government including FDA, USDA, MDA, Military and SQF.
Maintain 6S in the work area.

Problem solving, technical skills, and good organizational skills
Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
Good communication (oral and writing) skills
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and legible handwriting for documentation
**Preferred Qualification (if Applicable):**
BS Degree in Food Science or related science
2 to 3 years of Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience in the food industry
Supervisory experience and project management skills are preferred
Supplier management experience is preferred
HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certification and PCQI certification is preferred
Knowledge of SQF, FSSC, ISO or BRC requirements
SPC (Statistical Process Control) and data analyses skills
**Physical Demands and Work Environment:**
Must be able to lift waist high and carry up to 40 pounds
Must be able to remain on feet for 2-4 hours at a time
Must be able to work in refrigerated and frozen temperatures for 2-4 hours at a time
Must be able to work under pressure yet maintain skills needed to perform functions as described
Maintain and extend a positive attitude toward work environment and be able to accept/withstand negative feedback from others
