    IT Support Specialist PHOENIX INVESTORS OPEN POSITIONS **POSITION OVERVIEW**

    Phoenix Investors is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. The IT Support Specialist installs, modifies, makes minor repairs to company computer hardware and software systems, provides technical advice and support to system users, and provides technology training for end users, alongside providing continued support to IT systems, networks, and end users.

    **IT Support Specialist Technical Responsibilities and Duties:**

    Provide end-user help desk support.

    Work with the team to plan, test, and deploy hardware and software in the company.

    Monitor and perform preventative maintenance for workstations and laptops as needed.

    Respond to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support.

    Document, track, and monitor any problems to ensure a timely resolution.

    Serve as the primary link for end users and higher-level support.

    *User Support (50%)*

    Assist on-site and remote staff with tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, email issues, phone issues, printer/scanner issues, Dropbox issues, productivity software issues, etc.).

    Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.

    Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.

    Maintain records/logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.

    Troubleshoot general IT infrastructure such as large multifunction printers, Wi-Fi access points, video cameras, smart TVs, audio devices, conference room equipment, etc.

    Provide access to and escort for contractors, electricians, fire system techs, IT guests, etc.

    *IT Setup/Configuration/Hardware (20%)*

    Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.

    Assist with IT onboarding and separating of company staff.

    Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (scanners, printers, etc.).

    Check computer hardware (monitors, mice, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.

    Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.

    Configure hardware/networks per specifications for deployment.

    Respond to alerts from internal and external systems.

    Assist with the responsible disposal of legacy/damaged equipment.

    Respond to incidents/emergencies (power failure, water leaks, fire, etc.) and assist with protecting, repairing, or salvaging IT infrastructure.

    *IT Administrative (10%)*

    Maintain proper software licensing for users/company and renew or upgrade as necessary.

    Maintain stock peripheral devices. Ensure internal inventories are accurate and true.

    Identify IT equipment shortages and place orders. Monitor tracking of incoming orders.

    Assist with warranty, exchange, and return items.

    Receive IT packages and process items (adjust inventory, stock items, stage for project, etc.).

    Maintain clean IT workspaces and assist with trash removal when necessary.

    Create and manage users, contacts, and groups in active directory. Reset/lookup passwords.

    *On-site/Project Support (20%)*

    Research needed solutions and products.

    Provide on-site technical project support for Phoenix Companies.

    Set up on-site workstations.

    Assist running and terminating low-voltage cable and fiber.

    Rack IT equipment in server rooms and switch racks.

    Other duties as assigned.

    **IT Support Specialist Professional Requirements:**

    High school diploma, some college preferred.

    Experience in IT preferred.

    Experience using Microsoft Suite required; experience with Microsoft products, Office 365 preferred.

    Training or customer service experience preferred.

    Must be willing to learn and build new skills as they pertain to the existing environment and changes to the network infrastructure.

    **IT Support Specialist Physical Requirements:**

    Must be able to work with small electrical components.

    Must be able to climb ladders to work in ceilings or on rooftops.

    Must be able to lift over 50lbs. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
