    Job Summary: Sanford Federal, Inc is looking to hire Yoga Instructor to provide Yoga and Tai Chi / Qigong classes to Veterans, Veteran Caregivers, and Employees.
    · Location: VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Peru, Muncie, Ft. Wayne, Mishawaka, Marion.


    Certification:

    1. The Contractor shall provide documentation for all contract Tai Chi / Qigong instructors of certification through the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association (ATCQGA) as a Tai Chi Instructor Level 1 or comparable certifying body. Requirements include at least 150 documented hours in formal Tai Chi training, at least 500 hours of experience in teaching Tai Chi, and three (3) reference letters from other Tai Chi instructors, students, trainers, etc. (at least one letter from a Tai Chi instructor).
    2. The Contractor shall provide a resume for each proposed contract Yoga and Tai Chi / Qigong instructor.
    3. The Contractor shall provide documentation for all contract instructors of certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support training or plan for completion of training prior to initiation of performance. VA shall not pay for this training.
      Duties: · Provide Tai chi classes to Veterans and Veteran Caregivers · Adapt the Tai chi instruction as needed for patients with complex medical conditions · Shall be knowledgeable and sensitive to the unique experiences and special needs of combat-deployed Veterans . Shall be present at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the start of each class.
