- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations and requirements.
- Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspecting packages for damages or discrepancies.
- Utilize shipping software and systems to generate shipping labels, track shipments, and update inventory records.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate order fulfillment, resolve shipping issues, and maintain open lines of communication.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all shipping activities, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and identify any discrepancies or shortages.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shipping area, including the proper storage and organization of shipping supplies and materials.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols when handling and moving heavy or hazardous materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and logistics, preferably within a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with shipping software and systems, including generating shipping labels and tracking shipments.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
