Description
AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and quality focused Swing Hospitalist APP to join our growing team of hospitalists at our highly rated, 162 bed Hospital located in Parker, CO
We are seeking an APP who will model and lead excellence in clinical practice, provider to provider relationships, and professionalism while advancing AdventHealth' s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Collectively, the AdventHealth Medical Group Hospitalists cover 5 hospitals in Denver Metro area. The AdventHealth Medical Group is a coalition of over 2,000 physicians, advanced practice providers, residents, fellows and faculty members. The AdventHealth Medical Group network offers a continuum of care across nine U.S. states.From primary care doctors to pediatricians and surgical specialists, we have physicians to support patient's whole health at every age and every stage of life.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds and participates in Code Blue and Rapid Responses
Provides admission services for the Emergency Department, incoming transfer patients, and direct or emergent admissions in accordance with the hospital on call schedule and patient assignment guidelines
Provides cross-coverage, consultative, and co-management services for subspecialty services when such services are within the scope and designation of privileges
Accepts transfers of care from other clinical service lines if the patient is deemed appropriate for the hospital medicine service
Provides transfer center call for incoming patients in accordance with the hospital on call schedule
Provides internal sign out consistent with standards of care
Participates in nursing and staff education when solicited by CNO, CMO, or COO/CEO
Responds to all clinical queries in a timely fashion
Maintains current understanding of the regulatory environment related to patient status consistent with national guidelines
Encourages in network utilization of resources for continuity of care unless specified by the patient or expertise is not available in the system
Responds in a timely manner to communication from hospital staff
Schedule entails working 173, 12-hour shifts/year or 14-15 per month
Shift hours are from 12p-12a
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team and patient-centered
Inpatient APP experience preferred
Comfort in admitting higher volumes and complex cross-coverage preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
~ Graduate of MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner Program
LICENSURE,
CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Full Federal and State Prescriptive Authority
Eligibility to work in the United States
Current ACLS Certification
Possess or have the ability to procure and maintain a Colorado Medical License
