Sayres, a renowned leader in defense support services to the DOD, is currently seeking an experienced Senior-Level Systems Engineer with a current SECRET clearance, verifiable in JPAS in Washington, DCThis position may offer hybrid work arrangements based on customer discretion
Responsibilities:
As a Senior-Level Systems Engineer in the shipbuilding industry, you will be responsible for performing engineering analysis of complex systems and ensuring their effective integration into naval platforms
In addition to the mentioned responsibilities, the following are additional duties that may be included: 1
System Architecture Design:
Develop and design system architectures that meet the unique requirements of naval platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability and efficient performance

Integration of Advanced Sensors:
Facilitate the integration and deployment of advanced sensors and electronic warfare systems into naval platforms for enhanced situational awareness and defense capabilities

Cybersecurity Implementation:
Collaborate with cybersecurity specialists to implement robust security measures for shipboard systems, protecting against cyber threats and vulnerabilities
4
Network and Communication Integration:
Analyze and implement network interoperability solutions to facilitate seamless communication between various shipboard systems and external entities

Database Integration and Management:
Oversee the integration of databases to support data-driven decision-making processes and ensure efficient data management

Simulation and Modeling:
Utilize computer-based simulations and modeling techniques to assess system performance and optimize design parameters
7
Configuration Management:
Adhere to naval configuration management policies and guidelines to maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation
8
Risk Analysis and Management:
Conduct risk analysis to identify potential system vulnerabilities and develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues
9
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and naval architects, to ensure effective system integration and functionality
10
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and government regulations governing shipboard systems
