    Description

    Role: AWS Cloud Architect (NOC)

    Location: Local to the Chicago Area

    Duration: Minimum of 6 Months

    Job Description:

    • Hands-on experience with cluster nodes, POD setup, and configuration management.
    • Expertise in EKS, EMR optimization, and design efficiency.
    • Proficiency in monitoring, observability, and AWS cost management.
    • Experience with at least one CI/CD tool.

    Key Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of IT experience.
    • 4+ years of running production systems on AWS.
    • Familiarity with Datadog or similar tools.
    • Certification as an AWS SysOps Administrator is a bonus.
    • Skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, DynamoDB, S3, and Cognito.
    • Thorough understanding of Serverless, Teraform, and CloudFormation.
    • Expertise in AWS best practices, EC2, EKS, EMR, Couchbase, and container monitoring.
    • Ability to manage capacity planning, updates, and internal integration.
    • Responsible for administering APM space monitoring tools.
    • Collaboration with DevOps and Problem Management teams for monitoring support.
    • Experience in uptime management, availability reporting, and personnel training.
    • Pro-active approach to staying updated on new technologies and industry trends.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

    • Monitoring application availability, latency, and system health.
    • Establishing alert standards and configuring scripts for infrastructure.
    • Implementing logging and indexing strategies for enhanced visibility.
    • Collaborating with developers and management for high availability.
    • Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible.
    • Developing reporting dashboards for cost and stability insights.
    • Providing team support for alarms and outages as necessary.
    • Expertise in Windows Server, IIS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and network/system understanding.
    • Experience in automated build pipelines and version control systems.
    • Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities.
    • Commitment to technical expertise and continuous skills enhancement.
