    Description

    The Corporate Trainer is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's colleagues. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training and career development solutions for colleagues. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, evaluate, enhance and recognize performance.

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in relevant field (required). Five years of experience designing and implementing colleague development programs. Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred. Experience in insurance, and or financial/consulting services required.

    • Ability to evaluate and research training and development options and alternatives

    • Ability to work unsupervised, prioritizing & organizing own workload

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Develops training and development programs and objectives
    • Research and stay up to date on industry trends and new training methods
    • Obtains and develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media
    • Coordinates with outside vendors to provide services as needed
    • Trains and coaches' managers, supervisors and others involved in colleague development efforts
    • Assist management with succession planning and development of skills where needed
    • Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure colleagues have knowledge of training and development events and resources
    • Coordinates company-wide training programs for colleagues to ensure that they are meeting current industry standards
    • Develops colleague talent through training programs such as leadership development, management training, work skills training, team building, and communications
    • Collects feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements
    • Assists in development of comprehensive performance evaluation programs
    • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
