    PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

    The Delivery Manager reports to the Director, Program Management and ensures that Galvion delivers products on schedule while meeting the contractual requirements.

    As a Delivery Manager, this position will assist in setting milestones (specifically in Stages 4

    Pilot Run and - Production & Delivery, of the Product Gate Process) for each project and will coordinate efforts within Operations to effectively and efficiently deliver projects according to the delivery plans.

    This role will ensure a smooth transition, in the eyes of the customer, between the development phases owned by Project Managers and the Operations team.

    The incumbent will act as the internal conduit between the PMO and Operations as well as the external conduit between Galvion and the customer.

    This position works with stakeholders to bring structure while implementing project based processes to increase efficiency in the delivery of all projects and products.

    In summary, this role is the Production & Delivery linchpin between Sales, Engineering, Operations and Finance.

    SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    People

    • Interact directly with the customer as needed or as requested to help ensure project execution; as an example but not limited to gather, file and communicate in-process and lot acceptance testing (LAT) reports to the customers as required.
    • Collaboratively adapt the delivery schedule for each customer with the factorys manufacturing plan
    • Establish and build relationships with customer stakeholders.

    Process

    • Have an in depth understanding of the contractual requirements; as an example but not limited to Delivery Schedule, Packaging & Labelling, Shipping/Delivering, Invoicing, and Yearly Price adjustments.
    • Manage all aspects of project planning, execution, organization, and implementation of project activities with appropriate resources.
    • Establish and communicate (internal and external) project schedules and milestones, and monitor adherence to program master plan.
    • Escalate and assist in the mitigation of conflicts between customer needs and internal Galvion capabilities, with a focus on driving for a result that is ultimately focused on the long term best interest of Galvion

    Performance

    • Assist in the development of and perform review of project deliverables, and report on project performance, including risk mitigation and margin
    • Ensure project documention is completed, reviewed, authorized and maintained as the project progresses; as an example but not limited to test reports, release forms, COCs, delivery appointment notices and invoices.
    • Create organizational memory by gathering delivery data in the form of a progress report
    • Coordinate logistics to ensure shipments are picked up/delivered on time
    • Assist in the Project After Action Review and Customer Feedback

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent combination of experience and education
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in project management
    • Demonstrated experience working on cross-functional teams
    • Demonstrated experience managing projects for manufactured products or in a shared service capacity
    • In depth knowledge of a manufacturing environment and processes from sourcing to expedition
    • Preferably PMI certified or working towards PMI certification
    • Demonstrated experience in working with US, Canada and International customers
    • Grasp of Lean Manufacturing concepts, a plus
    • Demonstrated negotiating experience
    • Advanced computer skills (MS Project, Office Suite) required
    • Military Experience a plus
    • Position requires a person who is self motivated and pro-active
    • A can-do, customer-centric attitude is a necessity
    • Position requires a person who is detail oriented, meticulous and quality conscious
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a shifting landscape
