To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

    Zone A: $137,700 - $183,600

    Zone B: $124,000 - $165,300

    Zone C: $114,300 - $152,400

    This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

    Atlassian is seeking an R&D Business Partner to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A). In this visible position, you'll oversee the operational plan of the Growth, Platform and Core Engineering R&D organizations. You will play a meaningful role in influencing both the company and product & platform strategy. You will partner directly with senior R&D leadership and drive value with a particular focus on leading the company's annual planning and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes. this role, you'll get to:
    • Serve as the key business partnering for R&D leadership to provide financial analysis, decision support analysis, financial modeling and provide ad-hoc analytical support.
    • Execute on Atlassian's forecasting, annual planning and financial long-range planning partnering closely with R&D leadership, building financial models for new concepts.
    • Coach and mentor the analyst on your growing team to support their professional development and identify the mix and level of talent required to support current and future objectives
    • Manage the month end, quarter end and year end processes to support management and corporate reporting requirements.
    • Create financial reporting that provides actionable insights to the team.
    • Own the communications strategy for all planning changes which includes executive level and detailed project briefs and status updates.
    • Own, lead and manage finance initiatives / projects end to end, working cross-functionally with various business partners in operations, HR and finance teams.
    Qualitative:
    • Ability to prioritize objectives in a fast-paced environment to ensure key deliverables are met in a timely manner
    • Experience with simultaneously managing multiple business stakeholders' budgets

    Quantitative:
    • A minimum of 7 years experience with at least 3 years experience managing a finance team.
    • Solid experience with planning and budgeting processes, financial forecasting,P&Lmanagement, interpreting and reporting business performance results
    • Prior software sector experience is highly preferred, Cloud/SaaS is a strong plus.
    • Experience supporting an R&D / Product organization
    • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling
    • Strong technical fundamentals - excel, but also exposure toplanning tools (Anaplan), database / data warehousing concepts and finance systems (CRM & ERP)
    • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Accounting, Economics), MBA and/or CPA is a plus
