    Wedding and Event Assistant

    The University of Pittsburgh Department of Hospitality is seeking a temporary Wedding and Events Assistant for Heinz Memorial Chapel. Duties associated with this position include but are not limited to: acting as a Chapel representative and central point of contact to event space users, particularly wedding couples and their guests. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Weekend and evening work will be required in this position.

    Incumbent to work a minimum of two to three weekends per month. Note: This position is part-time and will pay $16 per hour. Chapel guidelines and policies need to be followed; however, each event (wedding, memorial service, etc.) requires the incumbent to be sensitive to the individuals involved. Must handle difficult and complex situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain a service-oriented environment. Weekend and evening work is essential.


    A High School Diploma or GED is required. Customer service and/or event planning experience preferred.
