Job description
Position Summary:
Will supervise, guide and assign projects to supervisor, project engineers and engineering technicians relating to the engineering, development, maintenance and special projects of all machinery and equipment. Will also oversee all vendors on property and any facility related repairs and general upkeep.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Will delegate work projects for the improvement of efficiency and reliability of equipment used in operations
- Will maintain equipment PM records and lead in reducing downtime of equipment
- Will assist and/or lead in research and development of new products, processes or CAPEX projects
- Will develop and modify equipment to meet the department's production, quality or layout requirements
- Will negotiate prices with vendors for the purpose of reducing overhead costs
- Include but not limited to housekeeping, recycling, trash and miscellaneous day to day requirements
- Will assist in new building selection and fit out to meet arvato specifications
Job Requirements:
- At least 10 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar experience
- Must possess a BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be technically oriented
- Must have the ability to get along with all types of people
- Should possess supervisory skills
- Ability to travel
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Must be able to remain on your feet for long periods of time
- Must be stress resilient
- Must be able to work long hours including overtime if needed
- Must be present on the operations floor
