    Job DescriptionSalary: $18.00 to $25.00 DOE

    Your Job:

    The Battery Technician will be responsible for all shipping/receiving and maintenance of industrial batteries as needed.

    Your Responsibilities:

    Job requirements may include the following where applicable

    • Receive incoming freight, checking for accuracy of shipments, and disperse to required customers
    • Fill out Bill of Ladings, properly band battery for shipment
    • Organize and put away incoming battery and battery parts daily
    • Perform basic battery field repairs and services
    • Keep warehouse clean and neat
    • Perform other duties as requested

    Required Skills /Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
    • Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with ability to shift priorities in a changing environment. (required)
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, vendors and customers. (required)
    • Basic tiedown knowledge
    • Prior experience in customer service, material handling/industrial equipment environment, and shipping/receiving experience (preferred)
    • Ability to operate manual pallet jack, forklift & pass forklift certification
    • Ability to interact effectively with others; be a team player
    • Maintain a good attendance record

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May require sitting or standing for long periods of time, working in front of the computer, physically lifting and moving up to 40 lbs. (on occasion), walk on concrete floors with the ability to use full range body motion for climbing, pushing, lifting, and reaching.
