DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for an Software Engineering Intern to work in a dynamic R&D environment. This position will give exposure to several different aspects of software development including test automation, hands on trouble shooting, and implementation based on software requirements. You will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.

DEKA offers Internships and Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). Internships last a minimum of 10 weeks, 12 preferred. All summer internships must start no later than June 17, 2024.

How you will make an impact:

+ Use software engineering knowledge to solve issues found in mobile application development and testing

+ Improve automated testing through investigation and code debugging

+ Perform verification and validation activities using automated software testing and test fixtures

+ Support development of software

+ Learn software processes

Skills we are looking for:

+ Must be currently enrolled in an Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent program, graduate student preferred

+ An understanding of, and experience with mobile application development.

+ Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Kotlin for Android, or Swift for iOS.

+ Have successfully completed at least one year of programming course(s)

+ Must be a self-starter eager to contribute in a team environment

+ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Must be detail oriented

+ Python and C++ programming experience a plus

+ Involvement with First Robotics is a plus

+ Interest in personal mobile application projects is a plus
