    What you can expect in this role
    As a Spectrum Intern, you'll be essential to two teams - your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 29, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
    Internship responsibilities may include:

    • An ME Internship will primarily include a variety of tasks which support the active development of Charter's CPE (routers and modems).
    • The intern will participate in ME design reviews, design injection molded parts, create tolerance fabrication drawing, utilize 3D printers and other shop equipment, run experiments, and collect data. All the products are developed working closely with Industrial Designers.

    Required qualifications

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor's degree between December May 2025
    • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
    • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship

    • Problem solving abilities
    • Proficient in Software including Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
    • An ideal candidate for a Mechanical Engineering Internship will have experience designing, analyzing, fabricating, and testing mechanical systems.
    • We are looking for a candidate who has great soft skills, can work in a fast paced collaborative environment, and has a self starter approach to solving problems.
    • Experience with part design, 3D printing, and shop equipment (saws, drills, routers, CNC machines, bead blaster) will be utilized in this role.

    The pay for this position has a salary range of
    $22.00 to $25.20. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
