By ensuring the recruitment, retention, and overall experience of our contractors and haulers align with our mission, vision, and values, this role is instrumental in maintaining a best-in-class fleet and driving our continued success in the dynamic logistics landscape.

    Who Your Internal Customers Are and How This Role Delivers Value to Them:

    • Leadership Team: You will collaborate closely with the Leadership Team to align recruitment, retention, and experience strategies with the overall mission and vision of the organization. You will provide insights and updates on the progress of recruiting efforts and engage in strategic discussions to refine and enhance the owner/operator and W2 hauler experience, contributing to the long-term success of the organization.
    • Safety & Operations Team: You will work hand-in-hand with the Safety & Operations Team to ensure that recruited owner/operators, W2 haulers, and subcontractors comply with DOT standards, enhancing overall safety and operational efficiency and supporting forecasted needs. You will collaborate on the development of training programs and initiatives to improve safety measures and driver compliance and help facilitate effective communication channels between owner/operators, W2 haulers, and subcontractors.
    • People Team: You will partner with the People Team to streamline onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless integration for new hires and provide insights into the recruitment process and pipeline, helping the People Team make data-driven decisions for workforce planning. Partnering with the People Team you will collaborate on Team Member engagement initiatives, focusing on the unique needs and experiences of owner/operators, W2 haulers, and subcontractors.

    Your Impact:

    The Hauler Compliance & Experience Manager will enhance and automate our recruitment process for scalability, ensuring a dynamic pipeline, and streamline onboarding processes for immediate positive contributions from qualified owner/operators, W2 haulers, and subcontractors.

    • Oversee and administer all recruiting efforts for the owner/operator, W2 hauler, and sub-contractor fleet across markets
    • Actively add qualified owner/operators/haulers to support business needs and sales forecast
    • Develop strategies for recruiting that meet company and DOT standards
    • Create tailored messaging for recruiting advertisements
    • Pre-screen applicants to ensure DOT and company standards are met
    • Collaborate with compliance specialists for applicant qualification and onboarding
    • Field and generate recruiting leads via various channels
    • Conduct owner/operator market research
    • Manage job postings and implement creative recruiting programs
    • Utilize Fleetworthy and truck onboarding platforms

    Collaborating with the Marketing Team, the Hauler Compliance & Experience Manager will elevate communication, design impactful materials, and organize events, fostering community, satisfaction, and a positive industry reputation.

    • Design promotional materials with marketing team
    • Develop person-specific facing communications
    • Establish and maintain effective communication with owner operators
    • Plan and execute owner operator appreciation events and townhalls
    • Refine owner operator feedback forums
    • Establish partnerships with vendors for best-in-class offerings
    • Conduct owner/operator net promoter score evaluations
    • Utilize CPSuite and fleet management tools

    Leading a high-performing team, the Hauler Compliance & Experience Manager will ensure meticulous hiring, onboarding, and compliance, contributing to a best-in-class fleet, exemplary safety record, and efficient operations in the logistics industry.

    • Lead, direct, and supervise Hiring and Compliance professionals
    • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and compliance of all contractor drivers
    • Use CP Suites for background checks, drug/alcohol testing, and MVR reports
    • Coordinate random annual drug screens for contractor drivers
    • Maintain DOT Compliance records, including DQF Files
    • Ensure DOT inspections are filed, violations are addressed, and fines are paid
    • Answer inquiries and facilitate onboarding and compliance questions
    • Coordinate contractor driver training and onboarding with Safety Team
    • Ensure accurate updates in internal databases
    • Support Process Manager and other management as needed
    • Coordinate with Accounting on new hires or disqualified Owner Operators
    • Attend yearly continued education training, participate in DOT audits, and handle other assigned duties
    Requirements:
    • High school diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred
    • Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is required
    • Highly organized multitasker with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow with the company
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and use new apps and technologies
    • Customer service-oriented mindset
    • Logistics or similar industry experience required
    • Recruiting experience is preferred
    • Experience using CRM (customer relationship management) email system is preferred
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
    • Experience with DOT policies and procedures required
    • Experience with insurance policies preferred
    • Previous experience managing others is required
    • Knowledge of OSHA policies is a plus
