    Job Details

    The Aviation Directorate plays a vital role in maintaining the UK's global aviation leadership. By supporting a robust aviation sector, we enable the UK to extend its influence worldwide, facilitating investments, trade, job creation, and social connectivity across the country.

    The CAA Sponsorship team, part of the Aviation Commercial, Strategy, and Consumers Division, oversees commercial aviation, non-scheduled flying, consumer rights, and overall aviation strategy. The Senior Policy Advisor for CAA Sponsorship will lead on cross-cutting issues affecting the CAA and collaborate closely with the Department and CAA to ensure operational effectiveness and safety for passengers and the public.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the CAA Strategy Team to drive and monitor delivery of key policy areas.
    • Work with stakeholders to understand processes, drive changes, and improve policies.
    • Manage government grant funding to oversee CAA's compliance with KPIs.
    • Plan and support recruitment for strategic roles in the CAA.
