SUMMARY
Assemble, spotweld, grinds and polishes sub-assemblies and final assembly's working independently and as a member of a team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Selects equipment, fixtures and hand tools needed to perform task; sets up and maintains equipment used.
Positions, aligns, and spot welds components together using fixtures, gauges, and measuring tools.
Grinds, files, polishes weld to insure a smooth even transition between components.
Interpret Kewaunee process control documents (Engineering Drawings, Travelers, and Product Catalogs) to determine component configuration.
Proficiency in the use of all necessary measuring methods.
Proficiency in the use of PC based information systems.
Setup and operate stationary overhead and multi-head spot welders.
Ensure workmanship meets or exceeds Kewaunee quality standards.
Assist in product development.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
