    Role and Team

    Job Summary: Reporting to the designated manager, resolve differences between the buyer and seller arising from representations the seller makes on the auction block and is solely responsible for any mechanical issues which may come up. Perform all duties assigned by the General Manager or designated manager. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times by persons under their jurisdiction.

    Responsibilities
    • Provide prompt and courteous service:
    • Demonstrate friendliness and greet every customer as they enter and participate at the sale.
    • Perform customer arbitration transactions in a prompt and courteous manner.
    • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Handbook.
    • Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention for all contacts and transactions.
    • Be thoroughly familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of customer service.
    • Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner. Advise General Manager or designated manager of all serious complaints or incidences.
    • Resolve arbitration differences in a polite and distinct manner, making sure each customer is aware of sale regulations.
    • Coordinate third party inspections and perform proper recordkeeping.
    • May perform accounts receivable duties.
    • Understand and enforce the auction's arbitration policies and procedures.
    • Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
    • Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules and accounting from the General Manager or designated manager or other corporate sources. Maintain a good flow of communication with General Manager or designated manager and office personnel.
    • Recommend new customer services and procedures to the General Manager or designated manager.
    • Inform the General Manager or designated manager and Facilities of all breakdowns and maintenance immediately. Ensure good routine preventative maintenance.
    • Make sure all Department area conditions do not threaten employee or customer safety. Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents to the General Manager or designated manager immediately. Practice proper loss prevention and reaction procedures. Report all incidents properly and immediately.
    Educational Requirements and Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED with one (1) year of mechanical experience preferred and at least one (1) year of auto auction experience preferred. Basic computer skills are required. Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
