Job Summary:

As a part-time Automotive Detailer at Berglund Ford Mazda in Salem, Virginia, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles on the dealership lot and in the showroom.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a passion for cars.

As an individual contributor, you will work closely with the service and sales departments to ensure each vehicle meets high standards before being presented to customers.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a part-time position with a salary of $14 per hour. Paychecks are distributed biweekly. Benefits are not available for part-time employees.


Responsibilities:

• Wash, wax and clean interior of vehicles to maintain their appearance
• Vacuum and steam clean interiors to remove any dirt or stains
• Clean and polish all interior and exterior surfaces, including windows, mirrors, and trim
• Apply protectant and other materials to maintain and enhance vehicle surfaces
• Remove any debris or objects from vehicles, including garbage and personal belongings
• Conduct quality checks to ensure vehicles meet dealership standards
• Keep inventory of all cleaning supplies and inform supervisor when additional supplies are needed
• Collaborate with the service and sales departments to prioritize which vehicles need to be detailed
• Occasionally assist with lot maintenance, such as organizing vehicles and clearing snow
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in automotive detailing is preferred, but not required
• Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for long periods of time
• Availability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and evenings as needed
