Frontend Engineer (React Native)Job Summary:
Procom is on the lookout for a skilled Mid-Level Frontend Engineer with a specialization in React Native for a 12-month contract to potential hire opportunity.
This role is crucial for developing engaging and responsive user interfaces for mobile applications.You will collaborate closely with backend developers and UX/UI designers to ensure seamless integration and deliver high-quality UI solutions focused on user experience and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mobile user interfaces using React Native, ensuring responsiveness and adherence to best design practices.
Work with UX/UI designers to transform wireframes and prototypes into functional UI designs.
Implement frontend components and functionalities, integrating them effectively with RESTful services and APIs developed by backend teams.
Conduct rigorous unit testing with tools like Jest, maintaining a strong focus on test-driven development (TDD).Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, contributing to the overall stability and performance of applications.
Participate in architectural discussions, influencing UI design and technical strategies.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, enhancing team skills and promoting best coding practices.
Skills Required:
Advanced proficiency in React Native with a solid foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with unit testing and TDD methodologies, particularly using Jest.
Familiarity with SQL and database operations, both RDBMS and NoSQL.Understanding of browser debugging tools like Chrome DevTools and code quality tools such as ESLint.
Experience with real-time crash report tools like Crashlytics.Proficient in CI/CD practices using tools like Git, GitHub, and Jenkins.
Knowledgeable in cloud messaging APIs and handling push notifications.
Agile methodology adept.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development with a focus on mobile frontend development using React Native.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field preferred; other disciplines considered with relevant experience.
Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively in a diverse team environment.
Experience in WCAG compliance is considered a plus.
Work Location:
Local or willing to relocate to Bentonville, AR (Must be onsite on day one)
