    Description

    Part Time Bartender

    Food and Beverage Job Type Part-time Description

    Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with guests, vendors, co-workers and management.

    Follow safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment

    Check identification of the guest to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

    Determine when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required refusing any further serving on a polite way.

    Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers.

    Take orders, transmit to kitchen, and serve food to guests.

    Follow designated beverage procedures and policies regarding beverage controls as prescribed the by hotel.

    Follow cash handling responsibilities as dictated by Claremont Companies, LLC

    Fill out liquor requisitions and supply list

    Follow proper procedures for ringing guest checks and cash collecting procedures

    Make sure established pars are maintained

    Perform all side-work duties according to side-work schedules

    Keep all bar areas neat and clean

    Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and windows, etc; if required.

    Observe a Clean-as-you-go policy

    Maintain required certifications and training status for TIPS, ServSafe, health department and other required organizations according to local codes.

    Set up your bar

    Maintain liquor inventory and consumption.

    Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.

    Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

    Pick up your bank and guest checks for prescribed area and balance all receipts.

    Break down bar, lock up liquor and store fruit and juices properly.

    Accept drink orders from servers in proper calling order

    Take a meal break sometime during your shift to account for business volume and your physical needs.

    Present a professional appearance at all times and comply with grooming and uniform standards

    Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements **Requirements:**

    Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.

    Bartending training and certification, TIPS Certified

    6 months bartending

    able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

    able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stopping.

    able to stand, sit and/or walk for an extended period of time.
