    Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional

    Position Summary

    The Special Education Paraprofessional plays a vital role in ensuring the academic success and well-being of students with special needs. They work collaboratively with teachers and related service staff to provide individualized support and promote social integration.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Academic Support: Assist students in achieving academic success by providing individualized guidance and support.
    • Behavioral Support: Monitor and address student behaviors to maintain a positive learning environment.
    • Personal Care: Provide personal care for students who need assistance due to physical delays.
    • Social Integration: Facilitate social inclusion and integration of students with special needs.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate and consult with special education and regular education teachers, as well as related service staff, to ensure consistent support for students.
    • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of student files and other professional communication.
    • Ongoing Duties: Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the District.

    Requirements:

    • Education: High School Diploma required.
    • Certification: Special Education Paraprofessional certification.

    Compensation:

    $45,000 - $60,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience).
