They service customers in Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, South America, and the Caribbean. They're currently looking for an experienced Authorized Inspector to join their team in Anchorage, AK.

    Salary: $39/hr - $48/hr (DOE) with relocation assistance available

    POSITION SUMMARY
    As the Authorized Inspector, you will perform inspection functions on all Company aircraft and engines in accordance with Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company General Maintenance Manual and aircraft maintenance manuals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensures compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer's service bulletins, and Company Operations Specifications pertaining to Company aircraft and aircraft components
    • Ensures inspection completion on all required inspection items (RII) as listed in the Company General Maintenance Manual
    • Reviews all maintenance paperwork, routine, and non-routine work items, pilot reports, and deferred maintenance items for completion, to determine the aircraft's airworthiness prior to the maintenance release of the aircraft
    • Keeps current on all manual revisions, changes in Company policies and procedures, and the Code of Federal Regulations
    • Submits recommendations and changes in maintenance and inspection procedures that will improve Company maintenance policies and procedures
    • Reports any airworthiness or safety-related items that are brought to their attention
    • Refers to any disagreements on the findings or decisions made by an Inspector or RII Inspector to the Senior Director, Quality Control
    • Performs maintenance on company aircraft and aircraft components including but not limited to, periodic aircraft service checks, aircraft line maintenance, servicing, and dispatch
    • Aircraft and aircraft component overhaul, repair, disassembly, assembly, and general maintenance
    • Signs for and is accountable for all work accomplished on company aircraft and components
    • Will operate as a Flight Mechanic as needed during Ad Hoc or EEC operations
    • While performing Flight Mechanic duties, monitors their personal duty time in accordance with Section 4-13 Maintenance Personnel Duty Time Limitations and ensure the limitations are not exceeded
    • Responsible for identifying hazards within the Company's operations and systems and reporting those hazards through the WBAT or departmental hazard reporting systems
    • Contribute to a positive and productive work environment
    • Other duties as assigned

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • A valid FAA mechanics certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings
    • Three years of experience with the same aircraft model
    • Successfully complete forty hours of general familiarization class (instructor lead) on the same aircraft model
    • Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills
    • Need to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Must have a valid passport from a country of citizenship and be able to travel internationally without restriction
    • Must have a valid driver's license with a clear driving record
    • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening, and background check and receive TSA clearance for access to restricted areas

    LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
    Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
    Ability to communicate effectively within the Maintenance Department, with contractors/personnel in location destinations, and with other stakeholders as needed

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Most work is performed on the outdoor airline ramp or in the maintenance hangar
    May be exposed to adverse weather conditions (extreme heat or cold), wet surfaces, icy conditions, high winds, etc
    Will be working around stationary and moving aircraft and aircraft ground equipment
    May be required to work in confined spaces for extended periods
    May be required to stay on/with aircraft for extended periods, including overnight
    Will travel to multiple domestic and international destinations with varying levels of services and infrastructure
    Use of personal protective equipment may be required

    PHYSICAL EFFORT
    The employee must frequently move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or tools
    The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms (full range of motion); climb or balance; stoop, kneel; crouch, or crawl
    The employee must have the ability to climb and stand on ladders for up to two hours
    The employee will need to see, speak and hear. Full-color vision is required for NDT inspections
