Description

Responsible for providing strong, positive leadership to store team through positive leadership and delivery of a friendly customer experience, operational excellence and help build profitable top line sales. (Top line sales is an increase in gross sales or revenues.) Responsible for overall store operation and compliance with all applicable laws

Working as part of a team

Hire, train & develop employees
Communicate job expectations to employees
Plan, monitor, appraise & review employee job performance
Provide coaching & feedback; discipline when appropriate
Empower others to make decisions and resolve issues
Maintain clean, well-stocked store
Accept responsibilities for personal & team commitments
Recognize & reward team and individual strengths, accomplishments & development

Operational Excellence

Create & maintain a customer focused culture
Ensure all shifts are appropriately staffed to achieve customer service goals
Maintain safe, secure & healthy environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety and sanitation guidelines; comply with all applicable laws
Identify system improvements
Use coaching & feedback as opportunities to improve performance
Identify areas in need of training & any support resources for development opportunities
Set, prioritize & maintain focus on important activities
Able to read and interpret reports to establish goals and deliver results

Profitability

Control costs to help maximize profitability
Schedule employees within budgeted hours
Set sales goals, track results

Requirements

Math & financial management
Retail or supervisory experience
Basic computer skills & writing skills
At least 18 years old
High School diploma or equivalent
Customer Service experience an asset
