A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE JUNIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
As the Junior System Administrator, you will assist with the configuration, installation, and upgrading of the server and network environment.
Assist with administration, maintenance, and support of end user workstations and other endpoint devices.
Support the bank's VoIP telecommunications systems and work closely with telecom and networking vendors for troubleshooting issues as they arise as well as the migration of telecom services.
Perform network duties including but not limited to file backup, recovery, password administration, security monitoring and periodic testing to guarantee their safety in the event of problems with the network.
Monitor the support, health, and maintenance of the telecommunications and data networks; Provide periodic on demand network management and traffic analysis information.
Provide technical and procedural assistance in testing disaster recovery and contingency systems and procedures to provide business continuity in the event of onsite emergencies and local disasters.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JUNIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
Associate's degree or equivalent with a focus on IT is required, or equivalent experience.
An understanding and practical application of security concepts and best practices required.
Formal training or demonstrated experience with Cisco networking equipment, VMWare, and Microsoft Products (Office 365, Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint) is required.
