    Insight Global is looking for a Systems Engineering Technical Specialist for a large automotive customer in the Detroit area.

    The Systems Engineering Technical Specialist will be responsible for leading and directing investigating systems issues and bringing to resolution, s well as developing alternative "Plan B" architectures + Sub Systems using SE toolbox.

    This person will also be responsible for the following areas:

    • Vehicle Systems and CAE Tool Benchmarking
    • Requirements Challenge (as part of SysML), CAE Process + Metrics (ex. Joint Design/Component/System Durability Metrics)
    • Signoff of systems models with specific signoff responsibility before senior level
    • Technical facilitation of X-Functional Attribute Issues/Firefighting
    • Coach, mentor, and train - but also willing to be hands on with the product
    • Introduce new technologies and tools (such as AI)
    • Understands the upfront design, verification plan and methods, and industrialization process

Required Skills & Experience-Masters degree in systems engineering or related (ex. product development, electrical, mechanical, etc.)-10+ years of experience working within systems engineering in the automotive industry with 6+ years in Modern Systems Engineering-Proven history of systems engineering application directly applicable to automotive-Proven history of evaluating choices and directing a team based on technical ideals balanced with industrialization realities-Knowledge of systems thinking, systems engineering principles and methods, and application of these in model-based environments-Knowledge and experience in application of systems and quality tools and methods (ex. requirements, FMA, risk management, reliability, six-sigma, and lean toolkits) in model-based environment) Nice to Have Skills & Experience years of experience working as a Systems Engineering Technical Lead in the automotive industry
