MEDNA Scientific is an Irving, Texas-based company that supplies and supports the biopharma industry. We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Robotics Engineer.

This position provides a unique opportunity for a person aspiring to join and contribute to a fast-paced team at a rapidly expanding company with a cutting-edge technology platform and ample opportunity to grow with the company.

This engineer will become a part of the automation and robotics unit which works across the following domains: automation control systems, computer technology, process measurement and control, robotics and expert systems, telemetry and communications, or system testing and analysis.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information or a related field is preferred
3 years of experience in embedded systems, electromechanical systems, robotics, or control systems
Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to hardware and software development
Working knowledge of hardware interfaces
Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded program design skills
Life Science laboratory experience is a plus

What you will do

Design, implement, test, debug and provide ongoing support for automation systems and robotic systems
Test systems and hardware components individually and in tandem with external computer systems
Analyze systems data in order to make changes to the hardware configuration
Complete functionality and performance tests on final product
Continuously accept and incorporate end user feedback to further improve the system
Performs other technical duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift light packages up to 30 lbs. is required.
