Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for two Cisco ISE Engineers to support our client's contract needs. This position is located in the Raleigh, NC area and will be and can be a full remote position. Travel may be required up to 20%.

Responsibilities:

The Network Engineer will be highly specialized in one or more phases of software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering.

Provides technical assistance and advice on complex activities.

Formulates / defines specifications, develops / modifies / maintains complex systems and subsystems, using vendor engineering releases and utilities for overall operational systems.

Applies analytical techniques when gathering information from users, defining work problems, designing technology solutions, and developing procedures to resolve the problems.

Develops complete specifications to enable computer programmers to prepare required programs. Analyzes methods of approach.

Reviews task proposal requirements, gathers information, analyzes data, prepares project synopses, compares alternatives, prepares specifications, resolves processing problems, coordinates work with programmers and engineers, and orients users to new systems.

Works with considerable freedom to make decisions on the techniques and approaches to be used. Prepares recommendations for system improvement for management and user consideration.

Administer CISCO ISEConfigure, administer, document custom policies for Network Access ControlsHigh level troubleshooting of network and application issuesAdhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.

Working as Network Access Controls (NAC)

ISE Engineer in managing, planning, and designing a framework for authenticating and authorizing national clients via various methods:
to include dot1x and profiling; and to enforce compliance across remote VPN, wireless, and wired networks.

Manage and build Cisco ISE VMWare servers:
to include certificate management, licensing, and Integration with 3rd party application servers.
Manage Cisco ISE Guest Network environment and users accounts.

Assist in the onboarding and introduction of new endpoints onto the network via investigative testing and probing of endpoint attributes, protocols and behavior; to culminate in the creation and/or assignment of appropriate policy.

Utilize Splunk to drive reporting and search for data collected from Cisco ISE.Perform packet captures and TCP dumps to analyze application traffic to troubleshoot issues related.

Provide support for ISE related issues, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
Utilize ServiceNow application to monitor troubleshoot and track all ISE related tickets.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience5+ years experience with Cisco ISE, Security device management and Traffic and log analysisStrong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP/IP, DNS, DHCPKnowledge of TCP, understanding network, protocol and application traffic flowsAbility to troubleshoot basic network issues including IPv6.

Proven ability to multi-taskKnowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available serviceManages time effectivelyCreative thinking skillsDetail-oriented personalityAbility to maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workersClearance Required:

Posted Pay RangeThe posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range:
USD $90, USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
