POSITION DESCRIPTION

Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for the creation and distribution of financial reports. This includes both scheduled and ad hoc reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Design and distribute monthly financial reports.
Perform financial forecasting, annual business plan and rolling plan, variance analysis of actual versus forecasting.
Assist in the month end and year end closing process to ensure transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
Prepare financial related analysis and research in areas such as financial and cost saving performance measures.
Participate in annual budget process.
Provide important business information and support ad-hoc reports as directed by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Scheduling:

Monday through Friday, 45 to 50 hours per week. May need to be available evenings or weekends for monthly or annual closings.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting of 20 pounds
Sitting most of the day
Good speech and hearing necessary for communicating with the public, and talking with vendors on the telephone
Sight for performing computer work and paperwork

Mental Ability:

Good mathematical aptitude

Air-conditioned, office environment

Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

3 to 5 years of financial reporting experience in multi-unit restaurants or a related field
Ability to work independently on complex Business Operations and financial modeling and monthly status reporting.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Microsoft SSRS report builder, SQL, Microsoft Power BI Desktop and other financial dashboards
Ability to effectively present information visually, verbally and in writing, tailored to a specific audience
Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide
Working knowledge of MS Excel and other commonly used office software
