- Lesson Duration: 1-hour
- Student's location/time zone: Marietta, GA Does not want lessons to occur at his home. Please suggest a public location with a private space (i.e. a private room in the local library).
- Current target language level: low-intermediate
- Native and other spoken languages: Native Portuguese
- Student's language needs and goals: Has been studying English for a bit but still has a lot of difficulty speaking. Needs to be encouraged to speak. Wants to end up working in the US.
- Additional Notes: Very shy, a surgeon. Needs a teacher who sets up class like a school lesson, with homework, tests/quizzes, which follows a structure and has a methodology.
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
