    REDW is looking for a CAAS Specialist to join The Client Advisory and Accounting Services team remotely.

    The Client Advisory & Accounting Services Accounting Specialist is responsible for preparing and monitoring substantially all transaction classes and general ledger reconciliations for assigned firm clients.

    This position will be responsible for working in a team to help develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

    This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end and special projects, and support of client software systems.

    The Client Advisory & Accounting Services Accounting Specialist will have contact with clients and client contacts, including other professional service providers.

    What you will be doing...
    • Overall day-to-day management of financial reporting accuracy and on-time processing of client information
    • Monitor credit card charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, returns and miscellaneous charges.
    • Bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Payroll reconciliations
    • Review and approval of account classifications
    • Review of G/L for any missing transactions and overall accuracy
    • Management of weekly 'Open Items' and 'To-Be
    • Coded' lists, supervised/reviewed by the CAAS Manager
    • Preparation of initial/draft Management Reporting Package each month, for completion by the CAAS Manager
    • Maintain orderly financial filing system, both digital and otherwise
    • Assist with other accounting projects.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
    • Routinely audits transactional data, reports, accounting system functionalities, and inter-system integration to ensure effective operational outcomes.
    • Performs related duties as assigned.

    • Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office 2007 or later.

    • A general and growing knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas.
    What you will need to be successful...
    • High school diploma or GED 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping
    • Certificate of 2-year associates preferred.
