Description
The Patient Care Technician/ Mobility Aide performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient.
The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein.Assists with direct patient care, including vital signs, personal hygiene, dietary needs and ambulation, within the populations served.
This is a Mobility Aide whose main function is to assist and make sure all patients in telemetry, post-surgical and meds/surge are being mobilized, ambulate, transfer to chair to prevent further hospital stay complications.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have good reading and writing skills.
Experience/Skills:
Minimum one year of prior Nurse Assistant experience preferred.
Typing/keyboarding/mouse skills are required due to electronic recordkeeping.
Licenses/Certificates:
Must have a current BLS certification prior to providing patient care. BLS requires skills check-off
