    Tube Fabrication Technician

    Bend, Oregon

    PrideStaff, a recruiting firm specializing in staffing for Central Oregon businesses, is looking for Tube Fabrication Technician for a for a Local Aerospace company in Bend, OR. The right person will be someone that takes pride in the quality of their work in addition to having excellent technical, problem solving and communication skills.

    Tube Fabrication Technician Responsibilities:
    • Set-up and operate both manual and automated equipment for cutting and forming aluminum and stainless-steel tubing.
    • Use precise definitions, standards, and tolerances as are published in PFI drawings, installation instructions, and such other documents as may pertain. In the event that discrepancies or errors are found, document them in writing and bring them to the attention of the supervisor.
    • Assemble, inspect and test products to meet customer requirements as requested by Sales Order or Work Order.
    • Perform production entries when finished tubes are complete.
    • Assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of components.
    • When qualified, check drawings, schematics, manuals, and directives for compliance to appropriate governing agencies and/or company standards as directed by supervisor.
    • Ensure accuracy of materials and processes.
    • Responsible for notifying manufacturing of needed products.
    • Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, working environment.
    Tube Fabrication Technician Qualifications:
    • Manufacturing and Production experience (1 year)
    • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
    • Familiarity with production processes and drawings a plus
    • Prior experience in aviation a plus, but not required.
    • Experience with CNC, machining, or metal forming equipment a plus
    • Familiarity with metal production processes and drawings a plus.
    • Ability to read decimal inches and correctly use digital calipers.
