    Description

    HIRING FOR AN IMMEDIATE NEED - Baking/Baked Goods QA Tech.

    Description:

    1. Test all manufactured items

    -Retrieve samples from Frozen, Dry Mix and Wet Mix for testing

    -Match up samples received against production records to ensure a sample is obtained from each batch produced.

    -Retrieve any missing samples from inventory

    -Set up products and weigh and measure samples where appropriate, document your findings

    -Thaw, proof and bake/fry samples according to procedure

    -Document finished baked measurements and results

    -Any out of spec results require re-testing from inventory to confirm results

    -Products that continue to be out of spec need to be put on hold and paperwork completed

    -Re-Test frozen retention samples after 3 months to monitor changes in the finished performance

    -Test Dry Mix and Wet Mix samples according to established procedures

    2. Record into computer program results of testing

    -Enter all data compiled into internal program (will train)

    -Ensure accurate records at all stages of testing and data entry

    -Hand written data needs to be legible and complete

    -Attention to detail is essential

    3. Prepare samples for Sales

    -Provide support for Sales presentations or customer samples as needed

    -Ensure proper documentation required by customers is included

    -Provide best first impression in presentations

    4. Customer returns

    -Put on hold any returned product until disposition is determined

    -Re-test from returns and document condition and other pertinent information

    -Communicate results of re-testing to appropriate people

    -Manage paperwork and signage to ensure the product is not used

    5. Report daily overview

    -Type up a summary of the days testing and e-mail to the appropriate people

    6. Clean equipment and test lab

    -Clean all tools, equipment and surrounding area

    -Remove garbage

    -Turn off equipment

    Skills:

    quality control, mixing, blending, documentation, sample, quality assurance, baking

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Baking experience with exposure to a wide variety of products

    Food quality assurance testing experience

    Team player- ability to handle a fast paced environment and changing responsibilities

    Ability to work with a wide range of people, work independently and with others.

    Reliable and organized (verified with references)

    High attention to detail (verified with references)

    Proficient on computer (MS Office, Email, Etc)

    Familiar with basic lab equipment/tools
