    What You Will Do:

    As application / production support developer, you would provide be responsible for developing and providing production support for several Government custom code applications. We are seeking a candidate with demonstrating expertise of the system engineering life cycle with agile & DevSecOps environments. We are seeking a talented individual with excellent problem solving/data analysis skills, a proven ability to work independently, as well as with a team. Exceptional communication skills are essential, and you must be flexible with technology, environment, and priorities.

    • Troubleshoot and debug JAVA/J2EE applications using Developer/Unix shell scripts and Oracle SQL developer.
    • Participate in agile application development life cycle for new development design, testing and code fix of J2EE/Java Framework and Oracle E-Business suite Applications.
    • Perform problem identification, root cause analysis, work-around resolution, and manage major incident by correcting software bugs.
    • Provide Java/J2EE development services as needed for analysis, design and development.
    • Write SQL statements to support back-end solutions for production issues, monitoring and reporting.
    • Perform troubleshooting steps to identify root cause of problems noted by customers using SQL SOAP, Splunk, DAV, and OC applications.
    • Validate issues in production database and provide results and recommendations.
    • Ensure systems are fully operational and if there is a loss of service, it is restored in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Develop and execute detailed unit, function, and system test plans.
    • Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
    • Update database information by creating Repair Operation scripts and instructions for the Operations Team.
    • Create queries to extract data from Oracle Database and Develop SQL Queries to identify and troubleshoot data problems.
    • Perform daily monitoring to check application running status and help to resolve issues.
    • Utilize Azure DevOps/Repos and Team Foundation Server (TFS) for version, source control.
    • Update application technical documentation, submit Requisite for Changes (RFC).
    • Participate and provide guidance to Change, Release and Operations teams as app SME.
    • Responding to various types of outages ranging from enterprise-wide outage to an isolated server outage.
    • Identify and escalate data outages that result from server processing errors or server outages.
    • Provide user assistance as required.
    • Interacting with customers and responding to their issues using Remedy ticketing system.
    • Collaborate with engineers, Help Desk, and product owners to analyze, design, and implement user stories using agile methodology.


    What You Will Need:

    • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance.
    • 4-6 years' experience providing software support in a production environment utilizing Developer/Unix shell scripts or other scripting for issue identification, analysis, and resolution.
    • Experienced with Java/J2EE development.
    • Experienced with agile projects including Scrum and Kanban and Devsecops concepts.
    • Ability to analyze someone else's code and debug
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities
    • Ability to communicate ideas in a variety of formats
    • Experience with Agile methodology, requirements definition, Scrum, contract data requirements list creation, editing and delivery, system documentation, customer support, and Scrum practices, including estimations, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
    • Ability to work in an Agile, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
    • Possess excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and analytical skills.


    What Would Be Nice To Have:

    • Bachelor's Degree in computer science.
    • Familiarity with TSA or similar DHS customer.
    • Active DHS EOD clearance.
    The annual salary range for this position is $100,200.00-$150, Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
