    OVERVIEW

    CAA Sports APAC is seeking a new VP / Director, Partnerships, to join their growing team and focus on the Korean market.

    Key tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


    Sales:
    Developing a commercial strategy for our Sports property clients (e.g. Formula 1, Red Bull Racing, Madison Square Garden, LA Clippers, Riot Games, USTA, USGA) for the Asia Pacific region, as well as working on selling endorsement deals for CAA Sports Talent, which includes some of the biggest names in sports.
    Creating a prospect list with the sales team for each client.
    Liaising with clients to gain approval on approaching each brand.
    Making contact with brands more generally to introduce CAA and our client base.
    Liaising with colleagues globally (especially in London, New York) to leverage the CAA network and meet brands.
    Cold outreaching brands to introduce CAA and our client base.
    Meeting with brands to introduce CAA and our clients.
    Negotiating with brands and securing multi-year high-impact sponsorship partnerships for clients.

    Relationship Management:
    Developing and building strong relationships with CAA client base.
    Joining weekly sales call with clients to discuss prospect list and strategy.
    Keeping clients up to date on all conversations we are having on their behalf.
    Investing time in looking after our clients so they experience the full reach of our agency.
    Working to develop relationships with non-clients so that CAA can remain opportunistic in the market.
    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
    Must have solid previous experience in a similar role.
    Experience in selling to Asian businesses, specifically within Korea, is essential.
    Strong understanding of cultural and business nuances in Korean market.
    Proven track record of securing multi-year sponsorship deals, especially in the sports industry.
    Good understanding of the sports marketing and more generally the marketing & advertising industry.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a professional level in English.
    Willingness to travel regularly, both short and long-distance.
    Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
    Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
    Ability to work independently but also collaboratively.
    Ability to build business relationships at senior decision-making levels.
