    ABOUT THE POSITION
    VHB's Providence, RI team is looking for a talented traffic intern to join us for the Summer of 2024.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope.

    Responsibilities

    Evaluating crash history data and verifying the accuracy of such data.

    Use and create geospatial transportation data.

    Create text and spreadsheet documents and manipulate data.

    Effectively interact with VHB staff to advance projects in a timely manner.

    Perform field work, taking measurements, pictures, visually confirming transportation facility operations.

    Prepare clearly organized traffic safety and engineering reports and technical memos to communicate findings and recommendations.

    Skills and Attributes

    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

    Ability to independently perform multiple tasks and interact appropriately and positively with coworkers.

    Self-motivated with attention to detail.

    Familiarity with transportation planning and traffic engineering principles and resources.

    Team oriented with strong capability to work independently.

    Qualifications

    Currently pursuing undergraduate or master's degree in civil engineering


    Hiring Salary Range:
    $19/hr - $28/hr. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
