We are seeking a professional Certified Medical Assistant/Surgical Scheduler to become a part of our team You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with both patients and insurance companies for proper surgical scheduling and precerting procedures
• Escort patients to exam rooms, perform vital intake, obtain H&P, input into EPIC EMR
• Triage phone calls and schedule office appointments
• Obtain medical records as required for surgical consults
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment. Knowledge in autoclave and sterilization procedures

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare medical assisting positions or other related fields
• Familiarity with medical surgical scheduling procedures
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong customer oriented and team-oriented personality
• Must be CMA or similar certified with current dates of certification
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and with supervision
