- M-F during summer months (8 weeks), 20 hours weekly
- Winston Salem
- Provides pharmacy services to patient care areas and customers.
- Review and interpret prescriptions for both inpatients and outpatients to ensure the appropriate use of medications, under pharmacist supervision.
- Communicates with and seeks guidance from physicians regarding various medication-related matters such as drug selection, dosage, dosing intervals, drug allergies, and potential drug interactions, under pharmacist supervision.
- Under the supervision of a pharmacist, may counsel patients as necessary.
- Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
- High school diploma required. Successful completion of the John F Kennedy High School Health Science and Pharmacy Technician Academy.
- North Carolina Board of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician registration required within 30 days of employment.
