    II. SUMMARY OF POSITION'S PURPOSE

    Work primarily on middle school campuses to provide career coaching services to students in the exploration of career pathways. Market career coaching services to students, school personnel, parents and other relevant stakeholders. Build relationships with middle school and secondary school as well as business and industry key stakeholders.

    III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Must have a Bachelor's Degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university. Must have record keeping/data collection skills. Must be able to work flexible hours during the school day. Experience or combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities of this position.

    IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Maintain a professional appearance.
    2. Project a professional attitude toward students, faculty & staff
    3. Adhere to all APSB policies.
    4. Submit all reports in a timely manner.
    5. Adheres to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records.
    6. Work with the counselors at local middle schools.
    7. Work with high school Career Coaches.
    8. Develop a relationship with the students, parents, and teachers.
    9. Meet with students, either individually or in small groups, to discuss their career goals, attendance, academic performance or any concerns they may have.
    10. Refer students to the Guidance Counselor for academic or personal needs beyond the services provided by the Career Coach.
    11. Assist students in the area of career pathways.
    12. Develop connections and coordinate community outreach programs that bring the resources of the community to the students.
    13. Develop connections and coordinate employment outreach programs that enable students to explore and experience employment opportunities/internships.
    14. Coordinate career exploration opportunities for students in all grade levels.
    15. Works with counselors during Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) scheduling.
    16. Administer ASPB Career Assessment Program to students in all grade levels.
    17. Lead students in exploration and discussion of APSB Career Assessment results.
    18. Assist students in the area of career pathways.
    19. Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external customers including students, parents, co-workers, etc. Schedules and/or attends conferences with parents. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional manner to develop cooperative relationships and to ensure that student and employee records confidentiality are assured.
    20. Identifies opportunities and recommend methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance, e.g. expense management. Assists in the implementation and quality improvement initiates.
    21. Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments and to ensure continuity of service. Supports new co-workers and actively supports teamwork throughout the school system.
    22. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
