    Job Title: Project Manager

    Location: Bay Area, CA

    Job Type: Direct Hire

    OVERVIEW:

    Provide direct oversight of field construction projects by leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects within schedule, budget, and scope constraints. Ensure that all projects meet the company's safety and quality standards. Provide overall management direction of assigned projects associated with a specific product line and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients, or geographical area.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Utilize and improve the Management System to meet the requirements of the company, clients, and regulators.
    • Incorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with clients, subcontractors, vendors, craft, and personnel.
    • Employ organizational skills that effectively minimize obstacles that negatively impact operations. When obstacles arise, employ sound decision-making/problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
    • Facilitate company and industry practices, processes, and standards.
    • Manage technical aspects of contracts and subcontracts to protect the company's interests and maintain good client relationships.
    • Plan, organize, and staff key field positions for each project.
    • Apply innovative and effective planning/scheduling techniques to maximize employee performance.
    • Oversee planning, scheduling, and changes in base work as appropriate.
    • Initiate and maintain open communication with customer contacts to facilitate construction activities.
    • Ensure the smooth transfer of information between office and jobsite.
    • Act as jobsite company representative; attend project meetings as required.
    • Monitor/control construction through facilitation of supervision to ensure project is completed on schedule, within budget, and safely.
    • Participate in safety audits to monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements.
    • Participate in lessons-learned meetings.
    • Plan and monitor all financial obligations of project, including, but not limited to, budgets, earned vs actual comparisons, and monthly forecasting utilizing the Company's accounting software.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent related experience is required.
    • Five years' experience managing industrial construction projects, estimating, cost control, and forecasting.
    • Must have extensive experience with computer software including Microsoft Office, Primavera, Auto-CAD, Modeling, Bluebeam/Procore (or similar).
    • Ability to learn other software, if required, with company-provided training.
