    Overnight Lead Skills Trainer (1 positions)

    Chileda's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and behavior challenges. Chileda's goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills, through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming. We are now accepting applications for Overnight Lead Skills Trainers.

    Summary:

    Lead Skills Trainers provide Skills Trainers with assistance in performing their job duties by training and coaching, developing and maintaining relationships, and evaluating performance. Lead Skills Trainers are responsible for ensuring programming is being implemented at all times by Skills Trainers. Lead Skills Trainers will perform all direct support job duties of the Skills Trainers in addition to their regular job duties.

    Status Info:

    Full time hourly roles that come with Chileda's generous benefits plan. Hours are on 3rd shift.

    Skills:

    Direct support experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Qualified applicants will possess the ability to lead a diverse group of employees, give feedback and guidance and make decisions, as well as take on responsibilities and assist in problem solving for staff and students supervised. Intermediate computer skills are also required.

    Job Duties Include:

    • Fulfilling the role and duties of a Skills Trainer.
    • Train and ensure all Skills Trainers are using and following student's individual schedules.
    • Provide positive feedback to supervised employees on a daily basis.
    • Lead and participate in debriefing with skills trainers assigned to the house prior to skills trainers leaving for their shift.

    Education Requirements: Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency and to be 18 years old.
