    We are currently looking for a skilled:

    REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

    Part Time, Weekends

    Job Description:

    • Ensure top-notch nursing care for patients by adhering to physician's orders, state and federal regulations, and Facility's policies and procedures.
    • Administer prescribed medications (oral, s.q., I.M., or I.V.) following M.D.'s instructions and Facility protocols.
    • Supervise and mentor nursing assistants and orderlies.
    • Support physicians during rounds as necessary.
    • Assist and attend to patients during MD rounds, examinations, and treatments.
    • Carry out scheduled treatments during the shift and maintain accurate documentation. Implement infection control measures when needed.
    • Comply with cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions regulations.
    • Participate in research activities related to nursing care quality as directed.
    • Handle records, orders, and assessments of new admissions unit/hall. Assist in scheduling patients' annual physicals with the attending physician and ensure timely completion of physicals and related documentation.

    Job Requirements:

    • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a Registered Nurse designation.
    • Hold a current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and provide proof of license renewal biennially.
    • Demonstrate dedication to providing quality nursing care, following physician directives, and a sincere interest in geriatric nursing.
    • Maintain yearly CPR certification.
    • Participate in mandatory in-service training and staff meetings.
    • Ability to oversee nursing assistants to ensure timely and proper completion of tasks.
    • Reliable, adaptable, and capable of collaborating effectively with all nursing staff, other departments, and demonstrating empathy, patience, and diplomacy when dealing with patients, families, physicians, and others.
    • Capable of making sound nursing-related decisions, understanding the gravity of errors and incompetence in patient care.
